Curly girls have the most fun...

  I must say I love wearing my hair straight, however my natural curly hair has set me free and opened my eyes to my natural beauty allowing me to be a a whole new person, feeling younger and much more vibrant.   "straighten a curly girl, and she'll be happy for a day, teach her how to love and care for her curls and she'll be happy for life".  Currently as an apprentice at the Devachan salon in soho, NY, I have had the pleasure to learn so much about my hair and how to help others to deal with what they believe is bad/difficult hair.

  Many of us curly haired women want to run and solve our frizz nappy problem with such chemicals as relaxers, japanese straightners, keratin treatments, and brazilian blowouts... If that is what would make u happy I'd say go for it, nonetheless going natural would be the best way to go>>> not only will you have beautiful healthy hair , you'll also save tons of money : ).  Many will disagree but don't knock it until you try it with the right products you too can have healthy beautiful curly hair... Here I will share some of my recent photos as a curly girl... Thank you Lorraine Massey

who am I?

   I am a Rose I rise above and out from the ground saturated by rain and nourished by the sun, flourishing into bloom for everyone to see and marvel at the sight of me... The Rose that grew from concrete.
 I am a woman in control of my destiny, empowered by my dreams;
 Dreams of which I have many, still my greatest fantasy of me touching the sky and soaring through the clouds as the eagle who hunts its prey. Flying, in and out of the mist that inhabits the air, just as the wind frolics with my hair.
Yet still I am...
   A coiffeur; full of integrity to other beings as myself, and to the artistry which I possess.
 Not perfect, flaws I have many; Yet I take pride in all my heart aspires. Full of resilience and humility, and always servile. My eyes have seen much, my heart has been heavy; in spite of that my faith in my Creator has allowed determination.
I am...
 So many will describe me as a bitch, a tartar, callous, cruel all the components which keep me grounded upright, yet still... I am none of which.
 I walk with my head high for I fear not as walk, but as I sleep.
For I am...
Vulnerable at times yes; intuitive always! Dealing with the two keeps me in a constant struggle within my own thoughts.
  I am in love... In love with the idea of love, in love with the natural beauty given to us for free; the different colors, shapes, sizes, and fragrance that fill our lives daily.
  But more than anything I am much more than I thought to be. I am the Rose strong, Beautiful, Arrogant, Genuine, Attentive, Intuitive, Clever, Creative, Humble, Innovative, Friendly, Resilient, Helpful, and Honest.  A Rose
 out of the concrete jungle is what I am.
